I’m Mate Rauscher. I like to build things.
I’ve loved building things for as long as I can remember - whether it's Legos with my dad, and now with my kids, wooden shelves, software or anything else.
A few months after I was born, the doctors told my parents that my muscles are so tight I might not ever be able to walk. They had me do special exercises, streching, baby swimming and the likes. Thus my sporting career started early. Later when I was 9 I started kayaking. I managed to win several national championships, and Junior World Championship silver and bronze medals.
I studied mechanical engineering at the Budapest University of technology and Economics - just like my father and grandfather. However my love for computers, startups and visual beauty guided me to become a designer.
Today I'm a UX designer at Databricks, where I focus on Platform and administraion.
I'm married to the love of my life and we live in Burlingame, CA with our two children.
